February
20th, 2010 - Steve finishes 3rd in a field of 142 boats while competing
in a FLW outdoors BFL tournament held on the Kissimmee chain of lakes.
With 39 degree air temperatures and 25 mph winds prior to this
tournament the fishing overall was tough for the competitors. Missing
2nd place by only 10 oz Steve took the 3rd place slot with a 5 fish
limit of 20lbs 15ozs. It was a great tournament and a great start for
the season that will culminate to the All American Championship.

February 2007 - Competing in the Bassmaster Southern division tournament held on Lake Toho, Steve Boyd finishes 21st in a field of 209 boats. With a field that included top pros like Terry Scroggins, Marty Stone, Bobby Lane, Clark Rheem, Brent Broderick Steve came in strong with a 21st place finish. Prior to this tournament Steve suffered engine troubles and was unable to prefish for the tournament. Using areas that he had been guiding clients on provided enough fish to secure a top 30 finish.
